plinking
The act of embedding a product or service link in a video. Though the basic technology has been deployed before, the term itself refers to being able to "plink" in any user-generated video. That's right, YouTube with click-to-buy merchandising, whereas plinking in this case refers to the sound a coin makes when it drops into a piggy bank.
FYI: The standard use of the term plinking describes informal target shooting done at nonstandard targets such as tin cans, glass bottles, and balloons filled with water.
