Ordinal

Digital art that is minted on Bitcoin is referred to as an Ordinal. For example, an NFT used to only be minted on Ethereum.

Historical perspective: There are people who are just on one chain, Bitcoin, so there is a new market with new collectors for selling NFTs with Ordinals. In May 2024, the Sotheby’s auction house’s “Natively Digital: An Ordinals Curated Sale” brought in $1,097,534 (or 26 BTC).
