juice card

Slang for having some sort of influence over colleagues or higher ups. It comes from prison speak in that holding a “juice card” can get you out of some real trouble with guards or even other prisoners.

In the office, it might be that you’re tight with the CEO and your boss knows it, or you could have a juice card because you’re a legitimately good employee who earned respect the old fashioned way.
