Fetch
A Macintosh program that uses FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to transfer files from your computer onto a server, and vice versa.
After you write files on your local computer, in whatever editor you like, Fetch allows you to place the files on your ISP's server. (That's how you create and upload a Web page). Note: Windows users, see the FTP definition for more information.
Historical perspective: It was created at Dartmouth College by Jim Matthews in 1989, who later founded Fetch Softworks to license the name and source code, so the product could be enhanced and marketed independently. He was able to do this because he won money on the TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire :)
