EDM

A system that manages different kinds of documents, using computer programs and storage. An EDM system allows a company and its users to create a document or capture the hard copy of a file in electronic form. It can then store, edit, print, and process documents in audio, video, or text form. In this context, EDM can stand for Engineering Data Management which uses computers and electronic storage media to store data that relates to engineering applications.

EDM also stands for Electronic Dance Movement (or simply electronica) which is online jargon, also known as text message shorthand, used in texting, online chat, instant messaging, email, blogs, and newsgroup postings, these types of abbreviations are also referred to as chat acronyms.
