Customer Interaction Center (CIC)

a.k.a. contact center

Traditional customer call centers are morphing into customer interaction centers, in which all customer contact-by phone, fax, e-mail, the Web, or other means-is integrated. Considered an integral part of customer relationship management (CRM), the CIC is fast becoming the control point for collecting and disseminating customer data within an organization.
