Cold Fusion

A Rapid Application Development (RAD) system, it integrates browser, server, and database technologies into Web applications.

ColdFusion Web pages are written with ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML) tags. ColdFusion simplifies a Web site's integration with databases, and it replaces the need for more complex languages like C++ for creating translating programs.

Historical perspective: Cold Fusion was created by the Allaire Corporation which merged with Macromedia in 2001.
