RSS Feed of New and Updated Internet Terms

An RSS feed (which stands for "Really Simple Syndication") is free content from a Web site that appears on your desktop when you subscribe and use an RSS reader. The NetLingo RSS feed will show you which Internet terms we've updated on the Web site! This means the place to find new terms is on the homepage and in the newsletter; the RSS feed is to view updates to existing terms.

All you have to do to subscribe to the NetLingo RSS feed of is click on this link and copy the URL address into your RSS reader. It may sound difficult at first but it's very easy, and don't worry, when you click on the link you will see a bunch of XML code but you don't need to do anything with that. Just copy and paste the URL address into your RSS reader (which in NetLingo's case is this: http://www.netlingo.com/rssfeed.php). Then follow the instructions for your particular RSS reader to subscribe. It's REALLY EASY once you get the hang of it and it's an entirely new way to keep up with news!

To start using RSS, you need an RSS reader. There are many different free readers available. Most are available as desktop software that you download and install on your computer (Erin uses RSS Bandit); there are also several Web-based readers (such as the ones bundled with Firefox, IE7, or Outlook). Once you have set up your reader (see the links below to download a reader ;-) you simply subscribe to the RSS feeds you want.
